Panthers unveil black helmets, all-black uniform combination

CHARLOTTE — On the field, Brian Burns frequently channels his superhuman vigour.

He might be playing the villain on Nov. 10 against Atlanta.

The Panthers defensive end is eagerly anticipating the Falcons game on Thursday Night Football, when the club will make their long-awaited alternate black helmet debut. Burns anticipates a different vibe when the new helmets are worn with the all-black colour rush outfits.

Depending on what they’re wearing, “men sometimes tap into an alter personality,” he said. “The wicked side of a squad always comes out when they wear all black or accessories that are black.

“I immediately thought, “This will be challenging,” upon seeing this. It all fits together since they already refer to us as the dark side, particularly in defence.”

The opportunity to reveal the alternate helmets after dark on national television should result in a special atmosphere, as fans have been asking for them for years.

“Yes, that is important. It creates the mood “Regarding the new appearance, safety Jeremy Chinn stated. “Definitely, the guys will be heated up. I am aware that it has been long desired by fans.

“In any case, the all-black ensemble is one of my favourites. This serves as the cherry on top.”

Only a small number of gamers are aware of the new look’s specifics, and information about them has been kept very secret. Chinn feared he had caused a disturbance in the locker room when he let something slip during a talk with cornerback Jaycee Horn.

Many guys don’t even know, according to Chinn. I told Jaycee something, and he responded, “What, we have black helmets?” ‘ Yes, but keep it a secret. I don’t think you’re expected to know if you don’t.

“A lot of people are going to take this seriously.”

A few modest accents of contrast will be present, such as the white chin straps and tiny bumpers required by the league for helmet facemasks, as well as the numbers and accent stripes on the jerseys. However, the Panthers have never been able to utilise the black-on-black. Previously, teams had to stick with a single look for the whole of the season and were not permitted to wear different helmets at all. This season’s loosened rules allow the Panthers to don them once, so a game versus a division foe in prime time felt like the ideal opportunity.

Burns believes it might make for a memorable night at Bank of America Stadium if supporters adopt the trend by dressing completely in black in the stands during a nearly full moon when there may be a slight chill in the air.
