Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall safely out of Ukraine after suffering serious injuries

The network said on Wednesday that Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall, who was injured this week while reporting the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine when the vehicle he was driving in was attacked, is alert and in good spirits.

Hall was injured in the same attack that killed Fox News cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski and journalist Oleksandra “Sasha” Kuvshynova outside of Kyiv.
In an internal memo, FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott updated colleagues on Hall’s condition, and Bill Hemmer notified viewers on Wednesday morning.

Hemmer said, “This is some news we’ve been waiting for, an update on our colleague Ben Hall, who is now safe and out of Ukraine.”

“Ben appears to be alert and in excellent spirits. He’s receiving the best medical care available anywhere in the world “Hemmer remarked.

“Please remember to keep him, as well as Sasha and Pierre, in your prayers.”

“We’re all thinking of Ben and his family, and our hearts go out to them all,” Martha MacCallum added. “We’re hoping for more good news in the coming days.”

Hall’s seven-year wedding anniversary is this summer, and he has three young girls, according to Hemmer.

“It’s been a couple of heavy days around here,” Hemmer added, “so that’s a dose of good news for Ben.”

Kuvshynova and Zakrzewski, who were killed in the same attack, continue to be mourned by the entire media world.

Kuvshynova, 24, was a consultant who assisted teams in navigating Kyiv and the surrounding area while gathering information and chatting with sources.

“She was tremendously skilled,” Scott said in a long statement. “She spent weeks working directly with our entire staff there, functioning around the clock to ensure the world knew what was occurring in her nation.”

Zakrzewski was only 55 years old when he died. He was a Fox News star who covered practically every worldwide topic during his illustrious career. He was instrumental in sending Afghan freelancing workers and their families out of the country following the US exit last year. Zakrzewski received the “Unsung Hero” award at the FOX News Media Spotlight Awards in December.

On Tuesday’s “Special Report,” Fox News presenter Bret Baier said, “He leaves behind his wife, Michelle, and a loving family, as well as a lot of colleagues who are simply heartbroken at the loss of a legend.”
